Available in diameters ranging from 1/8″ to 4-1/2″ (3.2 to 114.3 mm), the AG1 is designed for use in portable tripod and cup-style machines. To maximize performance, it’s recommended to pair this drill with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and to submerge it in a retaining ring during operation. When the drill is worn, it can be sharpened once with a CRL Sharpening Stone to expose additional diamonds, extending its lifespan. Safety is paramount; always wear appropriate eye protection and ensure work is performed on a flat, horizontal surface. For optimal results, utilize a stabilization base like the GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. The AG1 drill, with its 3/8″ (10 mm) shank diameter, is the perfect solution for professional-grade glass drilling needs.

The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills reduces the contact area, allowing better grinding action and increased coolant penetration. They are perfect for use in portable tripod and cup style machines. Our most durable drill has been machined from solid steel. Use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring for best results. Although plated, these drills may be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after they are totally worn out to expose some of the remaining diamonds. This will extend their work life for a period of time.
NOTE: Always wear the proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.

NEVER perform any type of freehand drilling. The use of a hand drill requieres a stabilization base such as a our GDB1 & GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care and caution should be used as the use of these drill in any other manner other than as specified may damage the bit and void warranty.
